Vance Powers - Guitar
Vance used to be in a band called Mr Meaner from the central Wisconsin area (for 10 years and over 400 shows). He was the youngest guy in that band.… now he is the oldest one in this band. He’s been in several bands over the years including Ground Zero (big hair 80’s band in college out of Platteville, Wisconsin), Dr X (a Queensryche tribute band out of Platteville), and actually played bass for Danger Heart (a Pop rock band out of Dodgeville, Wisconsin) before joining Ugly Stick. Vance was involved in a few other bands here and there that fell flat because someone’s girl friend, car payment, or desire to grow pineapples in Alaska got in the way!
Influences, bands and Stuff that got him started--
Joe Satriani, George Lynch, Sevendust, Dream Theater, Greg Adams, and the rock or metal channel on my Direct TV sat dish!
Loves his little 5 year old girl Maddy and his wonderful wife Jenn and looks forward to seeing new faces at each and every show for years to come.
